There are times in each of our lives when we sometimes need a little help. Maybe it’s the employer, who took a chance on you even though you had no experience or maybe it’s the friend who lent you a few dollars to catch a bus when you had no money in your pocket. Friends are often a great source of help and comfort. They can be there when we need a couch to crash on or when we just need someone to talk to over a cup of coffee. As John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote in the well-known Beatles song, “I get by with a little help from my friends.”
There are people in this world, who need a little bit of that help that we may so often just take for granted. They may just need someone to talk to, but they may also need access to food, education, or basic medical care. Surrounded by poverty and disease they are in need of a hand-up, a little help to allow them to improve their situation.
At the Remedia Trust Foundation, we have teams that are working hard to address issues such as child hunger & education, medical issues, and systemic poverty. Our primary focuses are youth, the aged, children, women, and the disabled. We need your help, my friends, to continue our work though.
