Privacy Policy

Your internet privacy is of the highest priority to Remedia Trust. This privacy policy concerns Remedia’s philosophy about the gathering and sharing of visitors’ information through the Remedia website. This policy applies to all Remedia and related web pages – any page within the ‘remediatrust.org’ domain name.

What information does Remedia collect?

Normal Website Usage

For the most part, you can look through the Remedia site without telling us who you are or giving any personal information about yourself. The only information we gather during general browsing is from standard server logs. These include your domain name, browser type, IP (Internet Protocol) address, operating system, and information such as the web site that referred you to us, the pages you visit, the files you downloaded, and the dates/times of those visits.

Collection of Your Personal Information

If you register for one of our newsletters, order a book or other merchandise, request information, provide feedback, make a donation, apply for a job, join a discussion group or join an electronic mailing list, you will be asked to provide personal information such as your name, postal address and e-mail address. This information is collected only with your knowledge and permission, and is kept in various Remedia databases. If you are donating or purchasing something on the web, such as a ticket to an event, you may be asked to provide your credit card details.

At this time, Remedia’s website does not use cookies, which are a way other sites use to provide statistics that help give you a better site experience. However, at any point in the future, we may begin using cookies. At such a point, you may switch them off if you prefer (and we would notify you of this change). However, if we ever begin using cookies and you continue to use our site without changing settings, you are agreeing to our use of cookies.

Joining electronic discussion groups may mean that other participants of the group (including non-Remedia employees) will see personal information that you have volunteered. For open discussion groups, this information will be public.

Special Note about Information from Children

Some of our pages and sections are focused on children, such as comment fields, newsletters you can sign up for, and special reports you can download. Some of these require user-specific information to be provided to Remedia. We ask for the minimum amount of personal information in these cases. These parts of the Remedia site are for children and authorized adults only and unauthorized adults are not to participate in these parts of the Remedia site. (Obtaining user information helps us in that regard if needed.)

Children should make sure their parents, or the adults who are caring for them, know they are participating in the Remedia site and are providing this limited user information.

What does Remedia do with the information it collects?

What If I Don’t Want to Provide My Information?

Providing your personal information on the Remedia web site is your own decision. If you choose to withhold personal information, you can still browse and use the Remedia site, but you will not be able to perform certain actions such as buying tickets to an event or registering for a newsletter.

Opting Out and Altering Your Information

At any time, you can cancel or modify your personal information by returning to the web page where you first provided it and contacting the focal point for that page. Where contact details are not provided on the page, you can contact us for further information.

Security

We never share or sell any of the personally identifiable information you choose to disclose on the Remedia site to any third party without your prior consent. Any information provided to Remedia by users of the Remedia site is protected with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways other than as set forth in this privacy policy, or in any site-specific policies, or in ways to which you have explicitly consented. Remedia employs a range of techniques and security measures to protect the information maintained on our system from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, Remedia assumes no responsibility for the security of information.
